Team Solutions COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic
On August 23rd, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved the first COVID-19 vaccine. The vaccine has been known as the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine and will now be marketed as Comirnaty (koe-mir’-na-tee), for the prevention of COVID-19 disease in individuals 16 years of age and older. The vaccine also continues to be available under emergency use authorization (EUA), including for individuals 12 through 15 years of age and for the administration of a third dose in certain immunocompromised individuals.
“The FDA’s approval of this vaccine is a milestone as we continue to battle the COVID-19 pandemic. While this and other vaccines have met the FDA’s rigorous, scientific standards for emergency use authorization, as the first FDA-approved COVID-19 vaccine, the public can be very confident that this vaccine meets the high standards for safety, effectiveness, and manufacturing quality the FDA requires of an approved product,” said Acting FDA Commissioner Janet Woodcock, M.D. “While millions of people have already safely received COVID-19 vaccines, we recognize that for some, the FDA approval of a vaccine may now instill additional confidence to get vaccinated. Today’s milestone puts us one step closer to altering the course of this pandemic in the U.S.”

As a result of a close collaboration between The UAW and Team a COVID-19 Vaccine clinic will be held for all Team Employees and their families.
To ensure that everyone has an opportunity to participate there will be three clinic days, held at the UAW Hall as follows:

1st Dose and Question & Answer Session
September 23, 8 AM – 11:30 AM and September 29, 5PM – 8:30 PM
2nd Dose, October 21, 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM and October 27, 5 PM – 8:30 PM
In solidarity with our Employees and Members who have already received their vaccination, and with those who come out to the clinic to receive one, the following bonuses will be paid:
· All Team Employees/Members who are fully vaccinated will receive a bonus of $250.00.
· All Employees/Members who have received there first of two vaccinations will receive $100.00, and an additional $150 once they have received their second.
To be eligible all you need to do is provide a copy of the confirmation to Pamela Barber via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or in person and your bonus will be processed.
In addition, your name will be placed into a draw to win tickets for the Kansas City Chiefs vs. New York Giants game on Monday November 1st at 7:15 pm, and the draw will take place on October 31st. The winners will be granted the time off to attend (if required).
