Transit #2 and #3 shift employees (including Stamping – All Shifts), please note that you will be on TLO for one week beginning on Monday, November 13, 2017, and returning to work on Monday, November 20, 2017.

You are required to report your unemployment status to the State Unemployment Office using the instructions below. Failure to follow the instructions below could result in your disqualification for Unemployment Benefits and SUB pay, if eligible.

Unemployment Information

Claiming unemployment is a two-step process. Ford Motor-Claycomo is taking care of the first step to begin the claim.  You will still need to file for your weekly benefits after your claim has been activated.  The claim week runs from Sunday through Saturday. The week must be claimed after the Saturday week ending date.  Weekly claims can be filed on the Internet at uinteract.labor.mo.gov or by telephone at 816-889-3101(if that is a local call for you) or 800-320-2519. The Internet is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  The telephone lines are available for weekly claim filing 24 hours a day from 1:00 p.m. on Sundays until 5:00 p.m. on Fridays, except for holiday weeks.

The weekly claim for week ending 11-18-17 can be filed on Sunday 11-19-17

If you do any work during the week, you must report the gross amount of any wages on your claim for the week. It is very important that all wages be reported accurately on weekly claims. Wages are to be reported during the week in which the work is performed.  This includes wages from other work performed during the week you are claiming.

You must have 1 year of seniority to be eligible for SUB pay.

The following is a list of questions that the State of Missouri Unemployment asks. If an employees does not get these questions asked then there is something wrong with the claim and they should stop and call unemployment. Also, do not hang up until unemployment hangs up on you.

If you receive the screen below you have a current benefit year in effect but the claim was not renewed. You will need to call State of Missouri Unemployment in order to request the claim be backdated to the appropriate week.

If you have any issues with filing for unemployment, Missouri State Unemployment workers will be available at the union hall on Tuesday, October 3rd and Wednesday, October 4th.  Additional dates may be added as needed.

August 11, 2017 – From FORD MOTOR COMPANY – Labor Relations Department:

To:                 All Transit Production Employees 

Subject:         Transit Four 10 Hour Shift Operating Pattern

Please note that the Transit Production System will convert to a 4×10 production schedule; working ten (10) hours per day, Monday through Thursday for both the Day Shift (2#) and the Night Shift (#3).

The Transit System will be moving Production and Support employees to a “Four 10 Hour Shift” operating pattern effective August 28, 2017.

Stamping Press employees, MP&L Press Support and other support personnel as notified by their manager, will remain on a 3 shift, 5×8 schedule. (#1, #2, & #3 shift schedules, respectively)

Skilled Trades employee schedules are unaffected by this action.

* All other Transit production and Support employees, unless informed by your Process Coach or Manager, will begin the new 4×10 schedule as posted.
